Note from Mark Yaden:
It is one of my favorites that I have taken of Dad. This was approximately Year 2000, when I took Dad and my father-in-law John Freeborn, on a guided Chinook salmon fishing trip on the Columbia River about 20 miles upstream from Kennewick, WA in what is referred to as the Hanford Reach - Ringold area. This photo was taken in the early morning of a beautiful fall day. We were fishing utilizing down-riggers to be near the bottom so that is causing the significant bend in the pole. Unfortunately, the fishing wasn't as hot as the weather that day, but we had a great time nonetheless. John caught a 24 pound salmon, I caught a small Sturgeon (4 feet) that we released, and Dad got "skunked"! This was a trip I remember very fondly. My biggest memory is the great time the guide had listening to the back and forth joking around between Dad and John. They always had a great time together.
